Birthdays. I am sure that’s the only thing we associate with candles. We see candles only on a few occasions each year, but have we ever given deeper thought to them? I am sure we don’t. After all, they are just candles, aren’t they? You are right, they are. BUT don’t you think there’s more to a candle than just flames, and birthday celebrations and melted wax?
A candle flame gives out heat and light, but with every flicker of the flame comes a flicker of hope. In the darkest of times, in the darkest of places, the candle flame burns away our fear, our insecurities little by little. Our heart is now emptied of doubts, anxieties, only to be replaced by hope and the courage to carry on with life. The candle flame doesn’t last long, but till the moment it burns out, till the moment it completely melts, it stands tall and firm, giving us that little bit of hope and courage that we all need. Have you ever seen a candle burn in the dark? The glow around it? So small yet so big, so weak yet so strong.
Isn’t life just like a candle? Life’s so short, and there’s no knowing when it will come to an end. Just like life, there are no possible ways of determining when candles completely burn out. But before we ‘burn out’, isn’t it great if we could give everyone a little hope, a little courage to just carry on with life? Even though our life may have ended, at least we helped someone muster the courage to carry on with theirs.

Wow this week's been quite crazy C:
Got 24/25 points for 5 items, quite pleased C:
And now I am in tchoukball! Hehe it's actually quite fun luh. Had a friendly on Tuesday with defending champs ACS (international). Won 2 games, and lost 2. Overall we lost by a small margin, so it's still ok C: I was crap in the first game I played, cos I didn't know how center pivot was supposed to be played. But improved quite a lot in the second game I played C: Totally thrashed them for that game C: Good job guys.
Ok quite a lot of stuff to do. GPP, PI, ILP. Let's go Kelvin C:

Beezee beezee
Damn beezee nowadays hai.
Had fac outing last Sat at sentosa. Was quite fun lah C: The food eating competition, stylish tearing of ice pops C: A pity Shane and I didn't win :C Otherwise it was quite a nice outing, though I would have prefered to be in air conditioned place.
Had 2.4km today. Started off well, but had chest pains/stitches at the 4th round. Managed to lap at least 3/4 of the people running, and managed to get 5th C: Could have been 4th or 3rd actually. I think my time is 9min+ C: Quite a good timing, seeing as how the only running I do is when I play frisbee C: Yay managed top 5 this year woohoo C:
Shall aim for top 3 next year C: 5 items next week let's go let's go let's go C:
